Private Attorney Involvement (PAI) Coordinator
Fort Pierce, FL

​Florida Rural Legal Services is a private not for profit corporation which receives funds from the Legal Services Corporation (LSC).  It provides free civil legal assistance to low income clients in 13 counties and to migrant farm workers throughout the State of Florida.  Our agency has been in existence since 1966.  The position currently available is that of Private Attorney Involvement (PAI) Coordinator.  


Full-time staff paralegal position with Florida Rural Legal Services as a member of the bargaining unit, covered by the union contract.  

Job Description/Responsibilities:

  • It is desirable that the applicant demonstrates an interest in working with minorities, the poor and the elderly,
  • The Applicant must be sensitive and understanding of the particular problems that beset the poor and have completed high school and have had relevant experience. 
  • The applicant must have desire and ability to work with the private bar to recruit volunteer attorneys to assist indigent families. 
  • The applicant must be able to organize and coordinate legal clinics and recruit and attend local bar function.  Some public speaking is desired.  


Experience requirements can be waived with at least two (2) year college education and shows ability and willingness to learn is desirable, but not required.. Fluency in Spanish or Haitian Creole is also desirable.
