  • Iola T. Mosley, Esq. is a Florida native. She has engaged in the practice of law as a trial attorney and an administrative law and regulatory practice attorney, as well as a housing attorney, primarily practicing in both Palm Beach, and St Lucie Counties Since 1987. She attained both her undergraduate and law degrees at Howard University.

     

    During her 33 years of practice, she has served as an Assistant Public Defender in the 15th Judicial Circuit in several trial divisions including capital crimes attorney in both trial and sentencing mitigation, Juvenile, Felony and Misdemeanor divisions. She also practiced as an appellate counsel and served as recruitment and training coordinator for the office. She has been a Private Practitioner in partnership with Whitfield and Mosley, P.A.; An Assistant City Attorney for the City of West Palm Beach; An Assistant State Attorney for the 15th Judicial Circuit; Senior Counsel for regulatory compliance and Academics in the Office of the Chief Counsel for the Palm Beach County School District; Deputy City Attorney for the City of Fort Pierce specializing in labor and employment, police matters, contracts, Code enforcement, planning building and zoning. Assistant Regional Counsel for the Office of Criminal Conflict and Civil Regional Counsel for the 4th District of Florida and currently serves as the Managing Attorney for the Fort Pierce Regional Office of Florida Rural Legal Services, Inc. She has presented in numerous public forums and conducted trainings in all aspects of Florida public records, open government and ethics for elected officials, and Landlord Tenant Law.

     

    She has been a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Incorporated for 30 years and is currently a member of the West Palm Beach Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority. She is a member of The Charmettes Incorporated- Palm Beach County Chapter. She is a member of the New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in West Palm Beach Florida.

     

    She is a member of the Florida Bar, the Federal District Court for the Southern District of Florida. She is affiliated with the St Lucie County Bar Association, Florida Association of Police Attorneys, Housing Law Group for the State of Florida and the St Lucie County Chapter of the FACDL.
