(ARCADIA, FL.)- Florida Rural Legal Services (FRLS) is proud to announce its partnership with the newly reformed Bar Association of Desoto County. This collaboration marks a significant step forward in expanding pro-bono legal assistance to those in need within the community.

FRLS has been providing high-quality free civil legal assistance to low-income individuals, families, and vulnerable populations, including the elderly, veterans, and victims of crime, throughout 14 counties in Florida for over 57 years. Recognizing the importance of addressing legal needs in underserved communities, FRLS has eagerly joined forces with the Bar Association of Desoto County to support its mission of enhancing access to the legal system for all residents.

"The partnership between FRLS and the Bar Association of Desoto County underscores our shared commitment to providing vital support to those facing challenges within the justice system," stated Peter Dennis, Pro-Bono Coordinator for FRLS's regional office. "One of the most important things is listening to the best ways we can assist and serve in the communities we are a part of."

The collaboration aims to ensure that every resident of Desoto County has access to quality legal assistance, regardless of their financial circumstances. By working together, both organizations will explore innovative ways to expand pro-bono services, advocate for justice, and empower individuals to exercise their rights within the legal system.

"We cannot wait to see the exciting things that the next year brings to the legal community of Desoto County," added Dennis, expressing optimism about the partnership's potential impact.

As the partnership unfolds, FRLS and the Bar Association of Desoto County will continue to stand united in their mission to make justice accessible to all residents of Desoto County.
