FRLS is a non-profit law firm that provides free civil legal aid to qualified individuals, families, and vulnerable communities across 13 Florida counties and to farmworkers statewide. Currently, our Lakeland and Palm Beach County Offices located in Riviera Beach and Belle Glade offer educational legal services.
What is Educational Legal Aid?
Educational legal aid is legal help provided to qualified students and their families to help with challenges pertaining to accessing education. Educational legal aid can help in circumstances where help is needed with:
- Special education
- Excessive discipline at school
- Disability accommodations
- Enrollment barriers
- Testing and eligibility

Why is Educational Legal Aid Important?
At FRLS, we stand up for the rights of vulnerable communities including the most vulnerable,
our children. Every child is different, they each have their own learning style and educational challenges. Sometimes schools are reluctant to make the necessary accommodations needed for some of their students, that's when parents can turn to FRLS for help. We want to ensure that kids have access to equal opportunities to education and can get the help they need in unfair situations.
