(FORT MYERS, Fla.) – Florida Rural Legal Services' (FRLS) administrative "Moving Team" has commenced planning the relocation of the non-profit law firm's Fort Myers office. The effort is being spearheaded by Chief HR & Operations Officer Dr. Tikisha Brundidge.
Key members of the team, including Michelle Trunkett, Advocacy Director; Nelson Torres, IT Systems Administrator; and Michele Glass, HR Benefits & Ops Specialist, recently met in Fort Myers to visit the new location. During the visit, they surveyed the work needed to ensure a smooth transition, keeping both staff and client needs in mind.
The upcoming move promises significant benefits for both FRLS staff and clients. For staff, the new office space is designed to foster a more collaborative and efficient working environment. Enhanced facilities and updated technology infrastructure will streamline operations, allowing the team to better support their clients.
Clients will also experience improved service delivery in the new location. The modernized office, situated near Lee Memorial Hospital with convenient bus routes, is accessible and better equipped to handle the needs of the community.
This relocation reflects FRLS's dedication to continually improving its capacity to provide high-quality, free civil legal assistance to low-income individuals, families, and vulnerable populations, including the elderly, veterans, and crime victims, across 13 counties in Florida. Additionally, FRLS offers legal aid to migrant workers throughout the state through its Migrant Farmworker Unit.
Founded in 1966, FRLS has been a cornerstone in the community, championing the rights of those in need for over 57 years. The forthcoming relocation aims to enhance their ability to serve clients efficiently and effectively.
