What types of legal issues can you help with?
FRLS provides free civil legal services in the areas of:
- Consumer law
- Education legal aid
- Elder law
- Family law, including help for victims of domestic violence and protection from abuse
- Housing law, including landlord-tenant disputes, evictions, mortgage foreclosure, public and subsidized housing
- Public Benefits, including help with denials, terminations, and overpayment
- Disaster legal aid, including fraudulent contractors, insurance claims, FEMA applications, and
- Legal help for farmworkers statewide
NOTE: Although these types of cases are generally handled across all locations, the specific services offered can vary by county.

Where are your offices?
We have offices in Belle Glade, Immokalee, Fort Pierce, Fort Myers, Lakeland, Riviera Beach, and a satellite office located in Stuart. Our offices serve the following counties: Lee, Polk, Palm Beach, St. Lucie, Martin, Okeechobee, Indian River, Highlands, Hardee, Hendry, Charlotte, DeSoto, and Glades.
What are your holiday closures?
FRLS offices and the Hotline are closed on New Year's Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Presidents' Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, Labor Day, Indigenous People's Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day, Day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, and one additional day either before or after Christmas, to be determined by the Executive Director and communicated in advance to our clients.

- Juneteenth - Thursday, June 19
- Independence Day - Friday, July 4
- Labor Day - Monday, September 1
- Indigenous Peoples' Day - Monday, October 13
- Veterans Day - Tuesday, November 11
- Thanksgiving Day - Thursday, November 27
- Day after Thanksgiving - Friday, November 28
