FRLS held virtual explainer for community partners on LITC
Florida Rural Legal Services (FRLS) hosted an insightful virtual explainer session focused on its Low Income Taxpayer Clinic (LITC). During this session, FRLS experts delved into the essential services and support provided by the LITC program, which was designed to assist low-income individuals and families with tax-related issues.
Participants had the opportunity to learn about the comprehensive assistance offered by the LITC, including guidance on IRS audits, appeals, tax debts, and more. They discovered how FRLS collaborates with community partners to ensure that eligible individuals receive the tax advocacy and representation they need.

Florida Rural Legal Services, Inc. Low-income Taxpayer Clinic (LITC) is a free legal-aid clinic that provides legal services to low-income taxpayers who are in controversy with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). We also provide free educational tax training for those who speak English as a second language. We provide services to qualified individuals who speak English as a second Language (ESL) with free translation services provided.
Notice: The LITC does not generally provide tax return preparation. Our employees are responsible for ensuring that requests for reasonable accommodation are granted when the request is made by a qualified individual with a disability.
