Partnership with Ave Maria School of Law
FRLS collaborates with Tony Kolenc, Director of the Veterans and Servicemen Clinic at Ave Maria School of Law in Naples, to provide his clinic's law students with Pro Bono cases.

What volunteer opportunities are available for law students?
Currently, FRLS offers in-person opportunities for law student interns for each of our main regional offices: Treasure Coast Office in Port St. Lucie, Lakeland, Fort Myers, and West Palm Beach.
With our in-person internships, law students can shadow one of our staff attorneys, and get information and experience in different areas of civil practice that FRLS covers, for example: family law, consumer law, housing, etc.
How does the firm support law students in terms of career advice or future employment opportunities?
We provide confirmation of Pro Bono time to the law school, provide law students experience they can add to their resume, shadowing other attorneys in court, and learning more about legal research, confidentiality, and being introduced to professionalism in a law office setting.
Will I have opportunities to attend hearings, client meetings, or court appearances?
With both in-person and remote opportunities – yes. However, the in-person opportunities allow more flexibility and opportunities to spend time accomplishing these goals.
