Michelle Trunkett Promoted to Advocacy Director at Florida Rural Legal Services

(FORT MYERS, Fla)- Florida Rural Legal Services (FRLS) has proudly announced the appointment of Michelle Trunkett as the Advocacy Director. Trunkett, with her extensive experience and formidable advocacy skills, is poised to lead FRLS toward greater excellence in its mission.

Michelle Trunkett's journey with FRLS began in 1998 when she joined as a Summer Fellow. Over the years, she has demonstrated unwavering dedication and commitment to the organization's mission. Post-law school, Trunkett continued her service at FRLS as a Staff Attorney and later assumed the role of Regional Managing Attorney for the Fort Myers office.

With a career spanning 22 years, Trunkett has predominantly practiced in the areas of housing and consumer law, showcasing a deep understanding of legal complexities in these domains. Her leadership is further evident as she serves as the Housing and Consumer Advocacy Workgroup Leader at FRLS.

Trunkett's educational background includes a bachelor's degree in Sociology and Social Work from Florida State University, followed by a law degree obtained at Stetson University College of Law.
