Arcadia Disaster Relief Event
Location: 414 S Brevard Ave., Arcadia, FL. 34266
Storm victims, who are living in already chronically poor neighborhoods at the heart of Florida’s agricultural industry, in the southwestern part of the state, are in desperate need of disaster relief resources but some are reluctant to seek aid or don't qualify for federal disaster assistance.
Florida Rural Legal Services, Inc. (FRLS) and community partners mobilized relief efforts for Hurricane Ian survivors in Arcadia who are struggling.
The Arcadia Disaster Relief event brought various social services, governmental agencies, and community non-profit organizations directly to the farm-working community.
