(RIVIERA BEACH, Fla.)- Florida Rural Legal Services has recently participated in the 40th-year Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. parade in Riviera Beach, "A Celebration of the Dream," on Saturday, January 13.

"Being part of the MLK parade was an incredible experience for our West Palm Beach/Riviera Beach Office," said FRLS staff. "It showcased the strength of our community and the enduring legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr."

Community events provide an accessible platform for legal aid organizations to reach a diverse audience. By being present at local events, these organizations can engage with individuals who may not otherwise seek legal assistance.

Legal aid organizations participating in community events play a vital role in making legal services more accessible, raising awareness, educating the public, building trust, and addressing specific community needs.

The event, which promised to be a memorable occasion filled with joy, unity, and community spirit, kicked off at 10:00 a.m.

Following the parade, the celebration continued at Dan Calloway Park from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. This family-friendly event featured live music, vendors, kids' activities, and much more.

In addition to the festivities, there were awards for the Best Performance and Best Float in the parade, encouraging participants to showcase their creativity and talent. The celebration provided a great opportunity for families and friends to spend quality time together while honoring the enduring legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
